Horace T. Anding Jr. CACII

Horace T. Anding Jr. was born on January 21, 1962 to the late Horace, Sr. and Sylvia Anding in Washington DC. He was primarily raised and educated in Prince Georges County, MD.

At the young age of 12, he began using marijuana with friends not knowing that the short-term pleasure would later become long-term pain, suffering, misery and almost death from a 20-year run with drugs, alcohol, and crime. Mr. Anding has used a wide variety of drugs with crack cocaine nearly ending his life.

Due to his long-term abuse with drugs and crime, he was incarcerated, went to detox, and residential treatment and has now lived the past 30 years drug, alcohol, and crime free. He credits the GRACE and MERCY of the LORD, his family and a very solid and firm support system for his daily recovery.

Mr. Anding began his professional counseling career in 1992 and has worked in every modality of treatment.  He began his federal career in 2006 working with the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency as a Lead Counselor and was promoted to the Supervisory Unit Manager in 2008.  Horace continues to bring passion, hope, empowerment, and inspiration along with unconditional tough love and teamwork to his career.

Mr. Anding has been featured on WHUR Radio, “The Daily Drum” several times to discuss the deadly effects that drugs and alcohol have on Individuals, families, and communities.
